Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll your can of crescent roll dough onto your prepared baking sheet or a clean work surface, pressing the seams together to create four rectangular sheets.
  3. On one half of each dough rectangle, spread a tablespoon or two of pizza sauce, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella over the sauce, then add your chosen fillings and top with a little more cheese if desired.
  5. Fold the other half of the dough over the fillings to create a pocket and press down firmly around the edges to seal.
  6. If using, whisk an egg with a tablespoon of water or milk and lightly brush the tops of each pizza pocket with this egg wash.
  7. Transfer your baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are puffed up and golden brown.
  8. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
