These Cranberry Orange Protein Energy Balls are a delicious and nutritious snack that combines tart cranberries with zesty orange flavor. Perfect for a quick pick-me-up, they pack a protein punch to keep you energized throughout the day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup protein powder
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ½ cup nut butter
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • zest of one orange
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of rolled oats, ½ cup of protein powder, ½ cup of dried cranberries, and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. Stir until well mixed.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together ½ cup of nut butter, ¼ cup of honey or maple syrup, the zest of one orange, and 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed orange juice. Make sure everything is well combined.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Use a spatula or your hands to mix everything together until a sticky dough forms. If it's too dry, you can add a little more orange juice or nut butter.
  4. Once your mixture is combined, take a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball using your hands. Repeat this process until all the mixture is rolled into balls. You should get about 12-15 energy balls.
  5. Place the energy balls on a plate or tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.
