Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Unsalted butter
- Heavy cream
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Fresh garlic cloves
- Low-sodium chicken broth
- Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. This helps them sear better. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they’re golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it!
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Let it simmer in the sauce for an additional 2 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot with your favorite sides, like rice or vegetables.

Keywords: For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in lemon juice, garlic, and herbs for an hour before cooking. If you prefer a lighter sauce, you can reduce the amount of cream or replace it with a mixture of yogurt and broth. Feel free to add your favorite veggies, like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes, into the sauce for added nutrition and flavor.
