Delightful Creamy Vanilla Milkshake with Whipped Cream

Indulge in a rich and velvety Creamy Vanilla Milkshake topped with fluffy whipped cream. This nostalgic treat is simple to make and offers pure joy in every sip.

Ingredients

  • High-quality, full-fat vanilla bean ice cream
  • Whole milk (or 2% milk, or full-fat oat/almond milk for dairy-free)
  • Pure vanilla extract
  • Granulated sugar (optional)
  • Maple syrup (optional)
  • Honey (optional)
  • Very cold heavy cream (for homemade whipped cream)
  • Confectioners' sugar (for homemade whipped cream)
  • Vanilla extract (for homemade whipped cream)

Instructions

  1. Chill your serving glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Gather your vanilla ice cream, milk, vanilla extract, and any optional sweetener. If making homemade whipped cream, have your cold heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract ready.
  2. Pour the measured cold milk into your blender first. Then, scoop in the vanilla ice cream, followed by the pure vanilla extract and any optional sweetener. If your ice cream is very hard, let it soften for a minute to ease blending.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on a low speed, gradually increasing to medium. Blend just until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If it's too thick, add milk a tablespoon at a time. Avoid over-blending.
  4. Taste your milkshake and adjust sweetness or vanilla flavor as desired, blending for a few more seconds to incorporate any additions.
  5. In a very cold bowl with an electric mixer, combine cold heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip on medium-high speed until medium-stiff peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip.
  6. Pour the freshly blended milkshake into your chilled glasses. Top generously with homemade or store-bought whipped cream. Add optional garnishes like a maraschino cherry or sprinkles. Enjoy right away with a wide straw!

Nutrition

Keywords: For a thicker shake, use less milk or an extra scoop of ice cream. A tiny pinch of salt can enhance the vanilla flavor, and for homemade whipped cream, ensure everything is very cold to create a stable topping.
