Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of chopped jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup of diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 beaten egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it nice and hot while we prepare the mixture.
  2. Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of chopped jalapeños, 1/2 cup of diced onion, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Add 1 beaten egg and mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Shape the balls: Using your hands, scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You should be able to make around 12-15 balls, depending on the size.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the balls are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  5. Serve: Once they’re done, let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
